PA Employee Embezzled $1.2 Million From Furniture Store, DA Says
A high-ranking employee at a Pennsylvania furniture business is accused of embezzling more than $1 million from the company, authorities say.
Linda Mansi, 53, of Tuckerton, New Jersey, is charged with multiple felonies from Arnold Office Furniture and Sunline Supply in Bridgeport, said Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele's Office in a release Friday, July 28.
Jay and Jordan Berkowitz, the owners of the stores, approached police in February about a "significant theft" from the company's coffers, the DA said.

33-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed By Driving Running Red Light, Police In Atlantic County Say
A 33-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver who ran a red light Monday morning in Atlantic County, authorities said.
Michael Doyle, 31, of Tuckerton, was heading east on BlackHorse Pike when he ran the light at English Creek Avenue and struck Anthony Swezeny, of Egg Harbor Township, local police said.
Swezeny was trying to cross the Black Horse Pike from the south to north side when he was hit by Doyle in a 2003 Honda CRV, police said. Doyle then struck a 2021 Chevy van, authorities said.

A 33-year-old man from Atlantic County died early Monday after being struck by an SUV at a traffic light, authorities said.
Egg Harbor Township police were investigating whether the motorist had run through the red light on Black Horse Pike at English Creek Avenue.
The victim was identified by police as Anthony Swezeny. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene about 8:30 a.m. Monday.
