Potential New Tropical Storm May Form In Same Area That Launched Helene, Milton
The same area that launched two major hurricanes in a two-week span could be the breeding ground for a potential new tropical system. "We expect another gyre to get going over Central America later next week," said AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva, "From this large, slowly spinning area of low pressure, a more distinct area of showers and thunderstorms may form, and from that, a tropical depression or tropical storm may evolve." Expert: Hurricane Isaias Will Likely Come And Go Quickly, With More Rain Than Anything
Hurricane Isaias will likely bring plenty of rain to New Jersey this Tuesday but not the kind of wind anyone should be overly concerned with, one of the area’s leading weather experts said Saturday. “What usually happens with tropical cyclones as they move northward is the heaviest rain tends to fall to the west of the track and the center, while the strongest winds tend to be to the east of the track,” meteorologist Joe Cioffi said. Another frosty night followed by a couple of unseasonably cold days holds a nice surprise at week's end, a leading area weather expert said Monday.
