Girl Run Over By Tow Truck During Bicycle Ride Gone Wrong In Atlantic County: Police
A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition after falling off her bike into the path of tow truck in Atlantic County last week, police said. The girl was hiding in the shoulder of Ocean Heights Avenue heading north, the same direction as the 2021 Ford tow truck next to her, when she lost her balance and fell off her bike around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, Egg Harbor Police Chief Frederick Spano said. A 58-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a series of crashes on Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township late Saturday, May 11, police said. James Geloso, of Pitman, was heading east on a 2004 Honda motorcycle when his bike veered off to the left lane and onto the grass median in front of Story Book Land around 11:45 p.m., Egg Harbor Township police said in a news release. A 40-year-old man from Vineland has been charged with assault by auto while being under the influence of alcohol in connection with a serious pedestrian crash last February, authorities said. Three people were hospitalized with head injuries, including one man who was airlifted, after a crash in Ocean County, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to the crash at the intersection of Route 70 and County Route 571 at around 4:02 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 15, the department said in a news release. Driver, 51, Killed In Head-On Crash In Cumberland County
A 51-year-old driver from Atlantic County was killed when his car crossed the center line and hit another car head-on in Cumberland County, authorities said. Billy Hyslip of Absecon died in the crash, according to Vineland police. On Friday, March 29 at about 6:50 a.m., Vineland police responded to the 200 block of Park Avenue. Hyslip's car had collided head-on with a car driven by Patrick Schmidt, 32, of Cherry Hill. Hyslip was pronounced dead at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Camden County, State Launch Initiative To Reduce Fatal Crashes On White Horse Pike
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey Attorney General are set to launch a traffic safety initiative to cut down on crashes and improve pedestrian safety along the White Horse Pike. Last year, there were seven fatal crashes on the state highway. These crashes resulted in eight deaths with five being pedestrians and one being a bicyclist, the county said. Driver, 38, Killed After Hitting Landscaping Stone, Tree In South Jersey Crash
A 38-year-old Williamstown man died in a Franklin Township crash late Saturday, March 2, local police said. Robert Lafferty III's Kia Optima veered off the 3500 block of West Malaga Road into the oncoming lane of traffic before hitting a landscaping stone, several mailboxes and a tree before coming to rest, local police said. Lafferty was hospitalized where he was pronounced dead while his 41-year-old male passenger suffered a possible broken wrist, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Police in Absecon are looking for whoever killed a pedestrian and left the scene of a crash, authorities said. The pedestrian died in the hit-and-run crash just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, Absecon police said in a news release. A teen driver crashed a car into a school bus in Ocean County, authorities said. Manchester Township police said the crash happened at the intersection of Route 37 and Colonial Drive at around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26. The intersection is right next to the police department.
