Teen Boy Dead, Sister Rescued After Sand Collapses In On NJ Beach An 18-year-old boy died and his 17-year-old sister was rescued when sand collapsed in on them while they were digging at a New Jersey beach Tuesday, May 17, authorities said.  Levy Caverley, of Maine, was identified as the victim by Toms River police. He and his family were spending the afternoon at the beach, and he and his sister were digging a hole near the Seaview Road entrance on the barrier island when it collapsed in around 4:10 p.m., local police said. Brick Police Arrest Shoplifter, 62, With $3,500 In Cigarettes At Toms River Wawa Gas Station A 62-year-old man from the Jersey Shore was arrested at a Wawa gas station, authorities said.  On Oct. 29 at 7:37 p.m. Brick patrol officers responded to the Wawa at 116 Brick Boulevard for a shoplifting call, according to Police Officer Victoria Finelli. Officers were able to view surveillance footage of a male subject who leaned over the cashier counter and grabbed a large brown box and exited the store, she said.
