A 23-year-old Burlington Township man has admitted to starting a fire at a Pemberton Borough apartment that killed a 22-year-old resident. Under an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, Newlin Evans IV entered a guilty plea in Superior Court in Mount Holly to aggravated manslaughter in exchange for a 22-year sentence in state prison, of which 85 percent must be served before he becomes eligible for parole. Drug Dealer Gets 12 Years In State Prison For Selling Fatal Heroin/Fentanyl Dose: Prosecutor
A drug dealer from Burlington County has been sentenced to 12 years in New Jersey state prison for causing the death of a customer to whom she sold fentanyl-laced heroin, authorities said. Shannon McGuigan, 36, of Pemberton Township must serve 85 percent of the term before becoming eligible for parole under the sentence handed down Friday, April 29 in Superior Court in Mount Holly, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. Authorities in Burlington County announced a pair of arrests for the possession of child pornography. Roger A. Eichinger, 58, of Browns Mills, was charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Pemberton Township Police Chief Jason Watters. Seven convicted sex offenders from South Jersey and Pennsylvania have been indicted for moving without telling law enforcement, authorities said.
