A scratch-off lottery ticket worth $1 million was purchased at a convenience store in Mercer County, officials said. The $1,000,000 Platinum Payout scratch-off was sold at the Wawa on Flock Road in Trenton, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 28. Each ticket costs $20 and the $1 million prize is the game's largest. The winner was bought at the gas station near the intersection with Quakerbridge Road on Thursday, Oct. 24. A double-play Powerball ticket worth $500,000 was drawn on Saturday, Oct. 28, state Lottery officials said. One double-play ticket matched five white balls. That ticket was purchased at Sunoco 7012 Kilmer, NJ Turnpike Milepost 78.7 North, East Brunswick in Middlesex County. Authorities charged an Essex County man with robbing three gas stations and two convenience stores in Bergen County at gunpoint – four of them in one night. A man who wrapped himself in vanilla-scented trash bags before robbing a gas station in Bucks County has been identified by police, they say. Jonathan Nelson, 30, is wanted in connection with the incident that happened in January 2021, at a Lower Southampton Sunoco station, according to authorities. Philadelphia Suspect Robbed South Jersey Gas Station At Gunpoint, Caught Fleeing: Police
A 19-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested while fleeing an armed robbery at a Sunoco station in South Jersey, authorities said. Lamar Morrison was captured by Egg Harbor Township police at the Fire Road Apartments, police said. Morrison allegedly held up the gas station on Fire Road in the Farmington section of town at 5:35 p.m, Tuesday, police said. Authorities have identified a 60-year-old Trenton man who died of a fatal headshot wound earlier Thursday. The apparent homicide was reported at 10 a.m. at 507 Home Ave., making it the second fatal shooting in the capital city this week. A Newark woman caught behind the wheel of a stolen car urged police to arrest her, then later turned on the officers, authorities in Wallington said.
