Victim Confronts NJ Teacher 12 Years After Sexual, Romantic Relationship: Affidavit
At 26 years old, a woman is confronting her former New Jersey teacher who is accused of sexually abusing her 12 years ago, court documents show.
Now, the same age as her abuser when they began a relationship, the victim told now-38-year-old Lydia Pinto this month she could never fathom doing what she did: Engage in a relationship with someone 14 or 15 years old, according to the affidavit obtained by Daily Voice.
Pinto, of Newton, PA, was charged earlier this month with sexually abusing a former student.

Three Colombian nationals remain in federal custody and a fourth has already been deported after the government said they stole jewelry, a Rolex, an antique rifle, furs and cash in a home burglary in Union County.

A sword-wielding man surrendered to authorities after using his weapon to smash the window of a storefront then charge at officers Wednesday, May 25 in New Jersey, police said.
Police were called to Deliworks on State Highway 31, the business that had its window smashed by the unidentified man, around 3:20 p.m. in Raritan, local police said.
The man had gone into a wooded area with his sword, and when police found him, they asked him to drop it, they said.

Authorities have arrested a suspect who admits breaking into about 2,000 vehicles in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Keith A. Johnson, 33, of Yardley, in Bucks County, PA, is charged with numerous counts of theft and burglary, as well as 76 counts of loitering/prowling at night, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
Johnson also admitted to stealing $140,000 in cash during a burglary in Philadelphia, detectives said in court papers, according to NJ Advance Media.
When police searched Johnson's home, they found $30,000 in cash, plus items stolen from cars, they said.
