More than a dozen people were arrested in Atlantic City during a recent operation targeting drug dealing and neighborhood crime, authorities said.
There were 14 people arrested in the investigation, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Prompted by complaints from residents and business owners, officers focused on issues reported near Bellevue, Florida, and Texas avenues for more than a month.

Atlantic City police arrested 60-year-old Ricky Bailey, 37-year-old Floyd Spencer, and 22-year-old Christian Mateo, the department said in a news release on Thursday, June 27. An Atlantic County man was charged after police found him with explosives, guns, and a large amount of prescription pills, authorities said.
Michael James, 30, of Somers Point, was ordered on Friday, Mar. 8 to be detailed in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on several gun and drug charges, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. He was arrested at his home on Colwick Drive on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

A pair of men from Cape May County has been arrested on multiple drug-dealing charges, authorities said.
Yenmarie Soto-Maldonado, 35, and Miguel Rivera, 32, both residing in the Villas section of Lower Township are accused of distributing narcotics, they said.
