He was taken into custody by 9 a.m., Evesham police said; Officers were at a home on Brookfield Drive as of 7:30 a.m. and all residents near the home were being sheltered in place. The shelter-in-place had been lifted by 9 a.m. Sections of Kettle Run Road and Hopewell Road were closed to traffic. What originally came in as the possibility of weapons in the troubled 27-year-old man's home prompted borough police to summon Bergen County Regional SWAT team members and crisis negotiators just after 5:30 p.m. Monday. Lacey PD: 'Shelter In Place' During Armed Standoff Some residents of Lacey Township are being asked to "shelter in place in their homes," while police and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department negotiates with an armed man. Both law enforcement agencies issued an alert about 5 p.m. stating that Beach Boulevard will remain closed to traffic in both directions, between Waikiki and Molokai drives until it's deemed safe by police. An initial, unconfirmed report said that a man was found nude and bloodied in the backyard before barricading" himself from police and that he  is possibly armed with hunting firearms.
