Dive teams pulled three cars and human remains from the Cooper River in Pennsauken on Thursday, May 16, authorities have confirmed. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Pennsauken Police Department removed the vehicles submerged along North Park Drive to the south of Kaighn Avenue in Pennsauken at about 3 p.m. Detectives located human remains inside the driver-side area of one of the vehicles, the prosecutor's office said. Five Hospitalized, One Rescued, One Jumps In South Jersey House Fire
Five people were hospitalized including two in critical condition after a house fire in Camden County, authorities said. Fire companies were dispatched to the 3000 Block of Finlaw Avenue in Pennsauken at 5:06 a.m. Monday, May 29, for a reported dwelling fire, they said. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire on the 1st and 2nd floors with a confirmed occupant trapped in the basement, according to the Pennsauken Fire Department. NJ Motorists Rescued From Car By Police Helicopter After 4 Hours Trapped
Two motorists were plucked from the rooftops of their cars, which were stranded in floodwaters from Tropical Storm Ida in Mercer County, authorities said. One of the motorists was rescued by a New Jersey State Police helicopter after four hours, while a second man was pulled from his car's roof by a Trenton Fire Department ladder truck, according to the Princeton Department of Emergency and Safety Services.
