Motorcyclist, 50, Killed After Striking Tree In South Jersey: State Police A 50-year-old motorcyclist from Ocean County was killed in a crash in Burlington County, authorities said. New Jersey State Troopers responded to the crash at 7:36 p.m. Sunday, June 25 on Route 653 eastbound at milepost 0.5 in Bass River, they said. Christopher Golden, of Tuckerton, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle which ran off the roadway to the left and struck a tree, a State Police spokesman said. As a result of the crash, Golden was ejected and sustained fatal injuries.  The crash remains under investigation.

NJ Troopers Struck In Crash Released From Hospital Two New Jersey State Troopers struck by an SUV have been released from the hospital, authorities said. The troopers' van was struck from behind by an SUV during a traffic stop, said Trooper Charles Marchan, a State Police spokesman. The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, near milepost 40.3 of the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township.  The driver of the SUV remained in Cooper University Hospital in Camden after being airlifted there, Marchan said. The vehicle that was pulled over also was damaged.
