Major Music, Comedy Stars Performing Across NJ At 2024 North To Shore Festival
Major musicians and comedians will perform across New Jersey in an arts festival unique to the Garden State, officials said. The North to Shore Festival will return in 2024 for its second year in Asbury Park, Atlantic City, and Newark, the state announced in a news release on Thursday, Mar. 7. Atlantic City Gets $9.8M For Innovative Projects To Revitalize Downtown
Atlantic City is getting nearly $10 million for several innovative projects, which include transforming a former candy store into a boutique hotel and developing a vegetable farm out of shipping containers, officials said. Five projects in Atlantic City will receive $9,849,778 in grants from the state's Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation (ART) Program. Kareem McKenzie went from excelling on the football field as an offensive lineman to excelling in the classroom. The two-time Super Bowl Champion for the New York Giants is earning a doctorate in counseling and supervision from Kean University. McKenzie, a native of Willingboro Township, was drafted by the New York Jets out of Penn State in 2001 and played three seasons with Gang Green before signing with the Giants as a free agent. Lionsgate Production Studio Expected To Bring 600 Jobs To NJ's Largest City
The largest city in New Jersey is about to get some major movie attention and it's going to need a big crew to keep it afloat. Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Governor Phil Murphy recently announced that Lionsgate will be opening a brand new 12-acre TV and film complex in Newark, worth more than $125 million.
