Army Parachuters At Nationals Park Caused US Capitol Evacuation A plane carrying members of the US Army Golden Knights evacuated the US Capitol Wednesday, April 20, authorities said.  The parachuters posed a "probable" aircraft threat, prompting the 6:45 p.m. evacuation. In a statement, Capitol Police said an unidentified plane was spotted "within seconds" of the Capitol building.
