A man is accused of duct-taping his girlfriend into a bathtub and beating her with a hammer, according to police in Luzerne County.
Matthew Nelson, 28, of Wilkes Barre, is accused of taping a woman, placing her into a bathtub and repeatedly hitting her with a hammer, as first reported by cbs21.
The woman somehow got free, fled from the apartment she shared with Nelson, as he chased her with a hammer, smashing her car windows.
She made it to a police station and reported what happened on Sunday.

Mahwah PD: Rockland Dealer, Hotel Companion Busted With Meth, More Thanks To Dangled SUV Mirror
A rear-view mirror hanging off a new SUV drew the attention of a Mahwah police detective who ended up busting a Rockland dealer and a companion with meth and an assortment of other drugs for sale at a local hotel, authorities said.
Before they were done, police had seized meth, cocaine, methadone, clonazepam, hypodermic needles and packaging materials, Police Chief Stephen Jaffe said.
Detective Christopher Fasulo had gone to the hotel near the New York State border Monday night to check out a report of a stolen vehicle, Jaffe said.

Trio Arrested With 11 Guns, Ammo, Methamphetamine In Mercer County
Three people have been arrested and 11 guns seized after a multi-agency investigation of drug dealing in Mercer County, authorities said.
In addition to recovering guns, authorities seized high-capacity rifle magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and about $1,000 in methamphetamine, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.
