No state troopers will face criminal charges after a Millville man died while in police custody, authorities said. A state grand jury voted to not file any charges related to the death of 30-year-old Daniel King, the state Office of the Attorney General said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 1. King died more than 24 hours after he was arrested in Fairfield Township. Investigators said Trooper Mark Allonardo responded to a home on Fordville Road at around 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Motorist Crashes, Killed After 'Medical Episode' In South Jersey
A 71-year-old driver died after striking a tree during a "medical episode," authorities said. The crash occurred on Friday, May 12 at 3:57 p.m. on County Road 649 northbound at milepost 3.5 in Commercial Township, New Jersey State Police said. Preliminary investigation revealed that a VW Passat, driven by Ingrid Hillman, of Egg Harbor Township. was traveling north, State Police said. Man Has 'Medical Episode' In Cape May County:

A report of a pedestrian struck by a truck turned out to be false in Cape May County, New Jersey State Police said. When troopers arrived at 2046 Dennisville-Petersburg Road at 2:09 p.m. Friday, they found that a 60-year-old man suffered a medical episode and was not struck by a vehicle, said Sgt. Alejandro Goez, a State Police spokesman. The victim did not sustain any injuries and was not transported to the hospital, Goez said.

SUV Driver Suffers Critical Medical Episode At Route 17 Exit
A driver whose SUV crashed off Route 17 in Ridgewood Saturday afternoon apparently suffered a medical episode beforehand, responders said. Responders: Clifton Man, 44, In Route 3 Crash Died Of Medical Cause
A 44-year-old driver killed in a Monday morning crash on Route 3 in Clifton apparently suffered a medical episode, responders told Daily Voice. The 2012 Hyundai Elantra driven by Anton Dittrich of Clifton veered onto the westbound shoulder and scraped along the divider for about 100 yards before coming to a stop near the Bloomfield Avenue exit shortly before 10:30 a.m., authorities said Monday afternoon.
