Police ID Victims Of Triple Fatal Lakewood Crash
Authorities have released the identities of two of the three people killed in a Lakewood crash over the weekend.
Jayla Ortiz, 23, of Lakewood, Ceasia Jefferson, 24, of Neptune Township, and a 17-year-old boy from Lanoka Harbor, were killed in the Saturday, Oct. 7 crash on New Hampshire and Cedar Bridge avenues, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

A 35-year-old man from Ocean County has admitted to a violent carjacking, authorities said.
John Bailey, 35, of Bayville, pleaded guilty before Presiding Judge Guy P. Ryan on Wednesday, June 1, they said.

Four New Jersey residents were arrested for distributing heroin, fentanyl and cocaine following an investigation involving nearly a dozen law enforcement agencies, authorities said Thursday.
Kevin Collins, 37, and Daysha Kelly, 35, operated out of a Pine Beach home, while Elex Hyman, 49, and Jamie Steen, 38, used a Lakewood home, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

NJ Man Who Knifed, Shot Officers With BB Gun Indicted On Attempted Murder Charge: Prosecutor
A Lakewood man who knifed and shot a BB gun at police officers was indicted on attempted murder charges, authorities announced.
Stanley Williams, 25, was indicted by an Ocean County grand jury on July 28, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
The incident occurred at 7 p.m. on April 17, when officers responded to a disturbance at a Lisa Robyn Circle home, Billhimer said.
As responding officers were trying to make contact with Williams, he attacked them with a knife, wounding both officers around the head and face, authorities said.
