A 48-year-old South Jersey man who thought he was meeting a 13-year-old girl for sex was met by investigators instead, authorities said. Daniel R. A 63-year-old man from Burlington County found guilty of causing the deaths of his mother and her companion in a house fire was sentenced to 11 years in New Jersey state prison, authorities said. Kurt Smith was sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 10 in Superior Court in Mount Holly, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. A South Jersey man who pleaded guilty to trying to meet an underage girl for sex was spared prison time, authorities said. The "girl" was actually a U.S. Homeland Security special agent. A 68-year-old man from Burlington County has admitted to possessing child pornography and inappropriately touching an underage girl, authorities said. Paul Marris of Mount Holly pleaded guilty to second-degree possession of more than 1,000 items of child sexual material and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. A 56-year-old man from Burlington County had admitted to possessing more than 1,000 images of child pornography and making the illegal images available for others to download, authorities said.
