An 18-year-old driver from Central Jersey has been charged with hitting a beloved bus driver and custodian while he was working outside a school, authorities said. Shamantha Bolla of Monmouth Junction was charged with reckless death by auto on Thursday, July 7, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Raymond Hayducka of the South Brunswick Police Department. An 18-year-old driver died after her vehicle struck a vacant building on Route 1 in Edison, authorities said. Diana Somarriba, of South Brunswick, sent her car into a building on the southbound side of Route 1 near Fox Road around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said. Authorities ID Man Struck, Killed By State Trooper On Route 1
Authorities have released the identity of the man struck and killed by a New Jersey State Trooper on Route 1 last week. Donelle Miles, 50, of Plainsboro, was struck on the southbound side of the highway near Raymond Road in South Brunswick around 5:55 a.m. Nov. 11, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Miles was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is active and continuing. A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a New Jersey State Police trooper early Thursday morning, authorities in Middlesex County said. A 15-year-old was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday on Route 35.
