Inmate Charged With Killing Another Inmate At Bayside State Prison A 43-year-old inmate at Bayside State Prison has been charged in the death of another inmate, authorities said. Bruce Duette, who was an inmate during the alleged fatal assault, was charged on Tuesday, March 7, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. On Nov. 21, 2022, Martin Sanchez, 41, an inmate at Bayside State Prison, was found unresponsive in his cell with apparent trauma to the head and face, the prosecutor said.  Sanchez was pronounced dead shortly thereafter by medical personnel, she said. Sanchez was due to be released the next day, …

Inmate Dies In Cumberland County Jail: Prosecutor Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate at the Cumberland County Jail in Bridgeton.  On Tuesday, March 1, at approximately 5:32 p.m, Correctional Police Officers from the Cumberland County Department of Corrections discovered a 54-year-old male who was unresponsive in his cell.  His death appeared to be a suicide, but the cause is pending autopsy results, according to Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Officers and medical staff responded and attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful, she said.  Notification was made to the Cumberland County …

Hamilton Township police responding to a trespassing call arrested Mario Terruso, of Mays Landing, shortly after 1 p.m. Sept. 15, 2019, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said.
