Nearby Workers, Bystanders Rush To Help Fiery Crash Victims In South Jersey Bystanders and employees at nearby businesses were praised for helping the two victims of a fiery crash in Atlantic County, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash near 2511 Fire Road at around 9:37 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, the department said in a news release. The crash was in front of the Bellevue Commons business complex. Investigators said a 31-year-old Ocean City man was driving a 2022 Ford Ranger south on Fire Road and a 24-year-old Margate man was driving north in a 2008 Hyundai Accent. Watch: Newark Firefighters Revive Car Crash Victim Thanks To Newly Implemented Training A newly-implemented policy in Newark requiring all firefighters respond to life-threatening calls paid off big time Saturday. Firefighters who otherwise may not have responded to the crash at Elizabeth Avenue and W. Peddie Street were able to revive one of the drivers.
