NJ 'Werewolf' Killer To Be Released From VA Mental Institution
A New Jersey man who thought he was killing a werewolf when he attacked an Alexandria store manager is set to be released from a mental institution soon, a report says. Pankaj Bhasin, 37, killed Bradford Jackson, a stranger to him, in 2018. A year later, a Virginia court determined that Bhasin was legally insane at the time of the killing, the Washington Post reported at the time. Police ID Bicyclist Struck, Killed In Central Jersey
A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in Central Jersey, authorities said. Luis H. Loaiza-Cañas, 64, of South River, was struck shortly before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24 on Old Bridge Turnpike at Milltown Road in East Brunswick, police said. Loaiza-Cañas was pronounced dead at the scene. Police ID Motorcyclist, 48, Killed In Central Jersey Crash
Police have identified the 48-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash in Central Jersey. Thomas Zink Jr., of Milltown, was riding on Fresh Ponds Road in East Brunswick about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10 when he crashed, police said. Zink was pronounced dead at the scene. Carjacking, High-Speed Chase Ends In Central Jersey Crash (

Suspects wanted in a carjacking and several armed robberies purportedly crashed their car during a high-speed chase, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The carjacking attempt occurred at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3 on Route 18 in East Brunswick, initial reports said. A high-speed chase ensued along Route 27 in North Brunswick.
