Drug Dealer Gets 35 Years State Prison In Fatal Overdose, Burlington County Prosecutor Says
A 42-year-old man from South Jersey has been sentenced to 35 years in connection with a drug customer's overdose death, authorities said. Bryant Tayler of Pemberton Township was charged with first-degree strict liability for drug-induced death for allegedly selling fentanyl-laced heroin, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. A Burlington County man's maximum sentence could keep in prison until he is in his 80s after he being found guilty of murder. Douglas Lewis, 26, Pemberton Township, was found guilty of murder and weapons charges in July. A jury in South Jersey found a 25-year-old man from Pemberton Township guilty in a 2017 fatal shooting, authorities said. The jury deliberated for about eight hours over two days before returning a guilty verdict against Douglas Lewis of Fort Dix Road for first-degree murder, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
