Cops ID Wrong Way Driver Killed In Route 55 Crash: Njsp A 55-year-old Millville woman was killed after she was driving the wrong way on Route 55 on the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 14, authorities said. At 2:17 p.m., Maria Ortiz was traveling in a Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Route 55 when she crossed into the southbound lanes while continuing northbound, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.   A BMW SUV was traveling southbound on State Highway 55 in Millville and a a head-on collision occurred between the two vehicles, Lebron said. Body Found In Trunk ID'd As Missing NJ Man A missing Ocean County man was identified as the man whose body was found in a vehicle's trunk in Lakewood, authorities said. David Koscuik, 57, of Lakewood, was identified by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer in a news release on Friday, Mar. 1.  Lakewood police found Koscuik's body in the trunk of a vehicle near Fairway Court at around 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Salem County Man Killed In Collision While Exiting Driveway: State Police A Salem County man was killed in a collision with a Land Rover, authorities said. Barry Sofsky, 71, of Pittsgrove, was exiting a driveway on Route 674 (Garden Road) at milepost 1.5 in the township at 3:11 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, when his Chevrolet Malibu was hit by the eastbound SUV, New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the Land Rover sustained minor injuries, State Police said. The roadway was closed for about five hours. The crash remains under investigation.
