Atlantic City License Plate Readers Help Catch Stolen Vehicle Driver, Wanted Man: Police Atlantic City police were crediting automated license plate readers for helping arrest two men with a gun and a stolen vehicle, authorities said. Daniel Ringgold, 37, of Pennsauken, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 19, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Friday, Sept. 27. Investigators said Ringgold was driving a vehicle on Atlantic Avenue at around 5:15 p.m. when his license plate was read, triggering an alert. Ringgold had several active arrest warrants. Atlantic City police arrested 43-year-old David Toney, the department said in a news release on Thursday, Sept. 12.  Officers stopped Toney while he was driving on the first block of South Kentucky Avenue at around 6:01 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6. Poice then learned he had an active arrest warrant and he was taken into custody. Police found ammunition in his pants pocket and the stolen gun inside his vehicle. On Saturday, Nov. 11, at 5:32 a.m., patrol officers responded to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Arctic Avenues for a man reporting that he was stabbed.  Police arrived to find Marcus Martineau, 35, of Atlantic City, suffering from a stab wound, they said.
