Widespread Power Outages, Downed Lines Affect 20K Customers In South Jersey
Utility crews continued to grapple with downed power lines that left nearly 20,000 homes and businesses without power in South Jersey after the storm.
Scattered power outages totaling 18,000 customers persisted throughout Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties, according to Atlantic City Electric on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

A two-alarm fire at an electric plant substation in Wildwood knocked out power to 24,000 homes and businesses throughout the island on Friday, July 7, authorities said.

As of 5 p.m., power had been restored for 1,800 Atlantic City Electric customers. An additional 15,000 were expected to have power later this evening, while some will remain in the dark until Saturday, July 8, the company said.

Thousands of New Jersey residents were still without power Monday, six days after Tropical Storm Isaias hit the region.
As of 10:30 a.m., there were nearly 5,600 residents in the dark, according to utility company outage maps. Sunday night, there were approximately 20,900 outages across New Jersey, according to Gov. Phil Murphy.
Many residents who had power recently restored were waiting for internet service. Restoration times for those still without power were Monday and Tuesday nights.

More Than 300K NJ Electric Customers Still Don't Have Power
Hundreds of thousands of New Jersey residents were still without electricity Friday -- three days after Tropical Storm Isaias pummeled the region.
As of Friday morning, about 221,001 of JCP&L’s 1,131,720 customers were without power, followed by about 86,431 out of 2,326,730 PSE&G customers and 2,757 out of 545,450 Atlantic City Electric customers.
Crews were prioritizing the areas that were hit hardest by the storm, which include Morris, Monmouth and Ocean Counties, JCP&L said.
