A 19-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with running a residential burglary and auto theft ring throughout the state last year, authorities said. Samir White's crew targeted high-end vehicles throughout New Jersey and New York, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. White and others used stolen vehicles to travel to target locations throughout Monmouth, Ocean, and Essex counties, where they forced entry into homes using a crowbar, removed expensive items and key fobs to vehicles, then stole the homeowner’s cars from the residence, Platkin said. Man Stabbed In Trenton, Woman Arrested: Police
A 56-year-old Trenton man was stabbed multiple times on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 28, authorities said. At 11:19 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Hamilton Avenue and found the man on the ground, having been stabbed multiple times in the chest and stomach, Trenton police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries, police said. A 28-year-old Trenton woman on scene was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, police said.

A 23-year-old roofer was killed in Egg Harbor Township on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 28, after a slab of concrete collapsed on him, authorities said. A fire that reportedly broke out at a muffler shop in Little Egg Harbor sent thick smoke billowing over Ocean County on Tuesday evening, January 28. The blaze erupted around 5 p.m. at a business located at 1110 Radio Road, authorities said. Photos taken by Jo Lucas captured plumes of smoke rising into the sky as the sun set over the area. Tanker Truck Overturns On I-295 Curve In Camden County
Good Samaritans stopped to help a tanker truck that overturned on I-295 North in Bellmawr on Saturday, Jan. 25. One driver called 9-1-1 just after 12:40 p.m., when the driver lost control while navigating a curve at milepost 27, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway and overturn, according to New Jersey State Police and Daily Voice sources.
