On Thursday, Nov. 3 at about 2:45 p.m., an officer conducting traffic enforcement on Route 73, near Route 70, observed a motorcycle being operated with a fictitious license plate, Evesham police said.
The officer attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop, however, the rider of the motorcycle failed to pull over.
The rider accelerated at a high rate of speed, putting his life and the life of other motorists at risk, as he traveled north on Route 73 at dangerously high speeds, police said.
Due to the inherent risk that the rider posed to himself and other motorists, the officer did not pursue the motorcycle.
A follow-up investigation was completed and with the assistance of Glassboro Police Department, the suspect was identified as Julian W. Beetle of Glassboro. The rider was charged and released on a summons pending court.
Beetle was charged with eluding police.
