Drunk Driver Crashes Into Light Rail Train In Hoboken: NJ Transit
A drunk driver was arrested after they crashed into a light rail train on the early morning of Friday, Oct. 25, authorities said. At 12:15 a.m., a Hudson-Bergen light rail vehicle was struck by the vehicle at Paterson Plank Road crossing near 2nd Street station in Hoboken, NJ Transit said. The operator of the light rail vehicle claimed back pain and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, NJ Transit said. A 66-year-old Union City man was arrested and charged with drunk driving after he struck a dumpster at North Bergen police headquarters on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 10, authorities said.
