A 35-year-old Philadelphia man was sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to a double shooting that killed one woman in Atlantic City, authorities announced Wednesday, June 17.
On Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, police responded to Marine Avenue and found Kamille Stewart, a 31-year-old Pleasantville resident, with a gunshot wound to the head and Cary Elbert, a 32-year-old Sewell resident, who was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the head, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

A six-month investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies revealed Anthony Rogers sold nearly two dozen illegal firearms, including three assault weapons and one machine gun, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Plainfield Police Director James T. Abney said.

Three Atlantic City men were accused of selling cocaine, suboxone, and prescription pills, authorities said.
Atlantic City police arrested 60-year-old Ricky Bailey, 37-year-old Floyd Spencer, and 22-year-old Christian Mateo, the department said in a news release on Thursday, June 27.
