19 Arrested During Targeted Crackdown On Drugs, Guns In Atlantic City: Police Nearly 20 people have been arrested in a major crackdown on drugs and illegal guns in Atlantic City, authorities said. The Atlantic City Police Department announced the 19 arrests in a news release on Wednesday, Nov. 27. A weeks-long operation targeted drug activity and "quality-of-life issues" in the neighborhoods surrounding Florida, Bellevue, and Texas avenues. Wanted Men Found With Gun, Meth In Rideshare Vehicle In Atlantic City: Police Two wanted men were arrested after being accused of having a gun and methamphetamine in a rideshare vehicle in Atlantic City, authorities said. Atlantic City police responded to a report of an armed man on the 2800 block of Pacific Avenue on Friday, June 28, the department said in a news release. An officer found 40-year-old Matthew Murphy of Egg Harbor Township and 47-year-old Nathaniel Rodgers of Atlantic City entering a rideshare vehicle.
