Driver Jumps Off I-95 Bridge To Flee Crash: Police A Philadelphia man jumped off a bridge on Interstate 95 in a desperate attempt to flee a two-vehicle crash, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, April 24. Troopers were dispatched around 3:32 a.m. to mile marker 31.5 on I-95 South in Philadelphia for a crash involving two overturned vehicles, according to Pennsylvania State Police. While en route, witnesses told troopers that one of the drivers had fled the scene on foot and jumped off the bridge, apparently trying to escape. Driver Shot On I-95; Shooter Flees Into NJ: PA State Police A driver was shot at on Interstate 95 in during rush hour, Pennsylvania State Police reported on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The incident occurred in Philadelphia near Exit 26: Aramingo/Betsy Ross around 8:16 a.m. when a 43-year-old man from Folcroft was traveling in the left lane. A silver Dodge sedan with tinted windows and a damaged rear bumper pulled alongside him, and an occupant fired a shot through his passenger-side window. Central Jersey Motorcyclist Crashes Into Moose, Dies On I-95 In Maine: Troopers A Princeton man was killed when his motorcycle struck a moose on Interstate 95 in northern Maine, authorities said. Anand Sreedharan, 50, died in the crash on Monday, Sept. 30, Maine State Police said in a news release on Wednesday, Oct. 2. It happened on I-95 South near milepost 240 in an unincorporated area about five miles south of the town of Medway. Investigators said the moose crossed into Sreedharan's lane and was hit by the motorcycle. Sreedharan was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Community Mourns Loss Of South Jersey Native Killed In I-95 Hit-Run A community is mourning their loss after a 32-year-old woman died due to a traumatic brain injury following a hit-run crash on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.  Tess Kathryn Fox, most recently of Springfield, Pennsylvania but formerly of West Deptford, New Jersey, died on Saturday, Sept. 14 as a result of the crash on Interstate 95 near Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday, Sept. 7,  Pennsylvania State Police told Daily Voice on Thursday, Sept. 19, and as detailed in obituary published by McGuinness Funeral Homes. Flaming Jackknife Tractor-Trailer On I-95 Near Betsy Ross Bridge (Video) A tractor-trailer fire shuttered part of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for hours, Pennsylvania State Police explained on Friday morning.  The tractor-trailer was already ablaze when it jackknifed on I-95 South at mile marker 25.6 in Philadelphia County near the Betsy Ross Bridge into New Jersey around 7:30 a.m. on June 28, state police detailed in the release.  The fire has been extinguished and Troop K Philadelphia Station was on the scene as of 9 a.m. The driver was able to escape.  Click the player below to see a Citizen video of the firefighters on the scene.
