A Wall Township doctor agreed to give up his license after he was indicted and accused of sexually abusing a child for more than a decade, authorities said. An Eatontown man was accused of stabbing a Virginia man during a fight at a Wall Township motel, authorities said. Geraldo Voglino, 37, was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 8, the Wall Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the stabbing report at the Economy Inn on Route 35 at around 3:30 p.m. Police found the 50-year-old man from Hampton, VA, with multiple stab wounds to his stomach and back. A bridge connecting Monmouth and Ocean counties was closed after inspectors discovered it needed emergency repairs, officials said. The bridge on Allenwood-Lakewood Road over the Manasquan River in Wall Township was shut down to traffic on Thursday, Aug. 29, according to a Monmouth County news release. Bridge W-3 is located near Robert L. Brice Memorial Park and about a half-mile south of Atlantic Avenue in Allenwood. Sundown Swimmers At Unguarded NJ Beach Rescued
Three swimmers were rescued while in the water after sunset in Ocean Grove, officials said. Rescuers were called to a swimmer in distress near the pier at the Main Avenue beach at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the ANSWER team said in a Facebook post. The report was quickly upgraded to three swimmers in distress. When emergency crews arrived, they saw the three swimmers screaming for help.
