A Manchester Township man was critically injured when his motorcycle struck a car at an intersection, authorities said. The crash happened at the intersection of Route 70 and Beckerville Road at around 3:57 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the Manchester Township Police Department said in a news release on Friday, Aug. 30. Arriving officers found a red 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with the driver ejected from it and a silver 2021 Toyota Camry with extensive driver side damage. An elderly Toms River man was hospitalized after crashing into a utility pole in Ocean County, authorities said. The 84-year-old man was driving at the intersection of Route 70 and Center Street at around 12:16 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, the Lakehurst Police Department said in a news release. He suffered a "medical emergency" and lost control of his vehicle, knocking down a utility pole. Paramedics brought the man to Community Medical Center for treatment. A Mercer County man was critically injured in a late-night crash in Manchester Township, authorities said. Manchester police responded to the head-on crash on Route 70 near milepost 34.5 at around 11:24 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, the department said in a news release. An Ocean County woman was hospitalized after an SUV crashed into her car at an intersection, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to the intersection of Route 70 and County Route 571 at around 3:02 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, the department said in a news release.
