Tractor-Trailer Fire Shuts Down Most Lanes On Route 1 In Edison (

A tractor-trailer caught fire in Edison, shutting down most lanes of a busy road during morning rush hour, officials said. The fire happened on Route 1 south of the intersection with Grandview Avenue on Thursday, Sept. 5, the state Department of Transportation said. An alert was posted about the incident at 8:28 a.m. The NJDOT reported all northbound lanes of Route 1 were closed. Three southbound lanes were shut down, leaving only one lane open. Crash With Injuries Closes Garden State Parkway Exit In South Jersey, Police Say (

An exit on the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County was closed due to a crash near the interchange, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash at the traffic lights for the intersection of Fire Road and the parkway exit ramps on Tuesday, July 16, the department said in a Facebook post. The state Department of Transportation reported the crash near the northbound exit ramp at 11:56 a.m. EXIT 36 from/to the GSP is closed at this time due to a motor vehicle crash with injuries at the traffic signal on Fire Road. Morning rush hour traffic appeared to be moving smoothly on the Garden State Parkway after buckled pavement caused major delays in Toms River. A pavement heave was found on the southbound side near milepost 82.7, the parkway said on Twitter at 5:47 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Unlicensed SUV Driver Killed Man In Wheelchair Crossing Busy South Jersey Road, Police Say
A Pleasantville man was accused of driving without a license in a crash that killed another man in a wheelchair, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash near the intersection of Black Horse Pike (Route 40) and Delancy Avenue at around 7:09 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.
