Big Lots To Shut These New Jersey Stores: Closing Sales Under Way Big Lots! has announced the closures of even more locations since filing for bankruptcy in September. The company announced on Monday, Sept. 9 that it will sell its assets to an affiliate of private equity firm Nexus Capital Management. Additional closures were approved this month in bankruptcy court.  New Jersey has 27 stores, and 13 of them are set to close with closing sales underway. Footage being circulated on social media and obtained by 6abc shows a driver identified by police as Stanley Kahana driving the wrong way for several seconds before slamming head-on into another motorist on Route 55 on Thursday, Sept. 5. 6 Walgreens Stores In South Jersey Get Fake Bomb Threats: Police Six Walgreens stores in South Jersey were among 20 nationwide to get fake bomb threats on Thursday, June 28, authorities said. One was in Evesham at 11:35 a.m. when a caller contacted the store on Route 73 reporting an explosive device was inside, Evesham Township police said in a press statement. Police evacuated the Walgreens and nearby stores and closed a portion of Route 73 while a Burlington County Sheriff’s Office K9 trained in explosive detection searched the store.  A store in Glassboro, at the corner of Route 322 West and Delsea Drive, also was threatened, police said.
