Powerball Ticket Sold Online In NJ Wins Big
It was a sensational Saturday for a Powerball player in New Jersey. A ticket sold online in the Garden State matched four numbers plus the red Powerball in the drawing held on Saturday, Sept. 28, winning $50,000. The ticket was sold via the Jackpocket app, which is based in Hewitt in Passaic County. The winning numbers were 3, 11, 13, 24, 39 and the red Powerball was 22.

$1M Mega Millions Ticket Sold In NJ
A $1 million second-tier Mega Millions prizewinning ticket from the Friday, Aug. 16 drawing was sold in New Jersey. The second-prize ticket matched five of the winning numbers, however, it did not match the Mega Ball. Another $1 million prize was sold in California. The winning numbers were: 22, 38, 48, 51 and 61. The Mega Ball drawn was 5, with a Megaplier of 3X. The next drawing will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, as the jackpot rolls to $498 million.

Man Who Ran Cockfighting Ring With Father, Sold Meth In South Jersey Sentenced: Prosecutors
A Greenwich Township man will spend at least three years in prison after leading a cockfighting ring with his father, authorities said. Jimmy Hadden, 50, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release on Tuesday, Aug. 13. He must serve at least three-and-a-half years before he can be eligible for parole. Investigators said Hadden and Jaime Ferrer organized the illegal gambling ring involving rooster fights.
