Alexander Chong of Belleville was killed when he struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at a red light, Edison police said. Pedestrian Crash Temporarily Closes Route 1 (Updated) A pedestrian crash temporarily closed Route 1 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 northbound near Adams Lane in North Brunswick Township, according to the NJDOT and local police.
