A Pleasantville woman was six months pregnant when police said she was killed by her boyfriend, according to a fundraising campaign. A GoFundMe page was created for 25-year-old Leslianet Quintana-Betancourt. Investigators said the woman expecting a baby boy died from “multiple blunt force injuries” on Monday, Dec. 2. Quintana-Betancourt's family is now mourning the loss of both her and her unborn son, who would have been named Mateo, according to an obituary from Greenidge Funeral Homes. Former Jersey Shore Gymnastics Coach Sexually Assaulted Girl, Police Say
A former Galloway Township gymnastics coach was accused of sexually assaulting a girl under 16 years old, authorities said. The Galloway Township Police Department announced the arrest of 51-year-old Matthew Shriver in a news release on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The Brigantine man was a co-owner of Everest Gymnastics and Tumbling Center in Galloway Township. The investigation began after officers received a report regarding the abuse accusations. Dog's Death At South Jersey Grooming Salon Leads To Biz Owner's Heroin Arrest: Affidavit
The death of a dog at a South Jersey pet grooming business led police to heroin possessed by the groomer, authorities said. Woodbury police officers responded to the K-9 Kingdom grooming business at 588 Woodbury-Glassboro Road in Woodbury Heights at about 1 p.m. on Friday, July 12 for a complaint about a dog's death, police said in a press statement.
