Last May, Robert Bechaud broke into a Waste Management facility in Lafayette Township, damaging 40 garbage trucks and support vehicles by breaking windows, cutting fuel and brake lines and discharging fire extinguishers in the cab and engine compartments, Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray said. Vernon Mayor Anthony Rossi posted a video on Facebook of the vandalism at Great Gorge Golf Course, which is located next to the site of a former resort, that previously had a Playboy Club in the 70s and 80s. The video shows the 27-hole golf course torn up from what appears to be tire tracks. "If you have any information on who did this please contact the Vernon Police Dept at 973-764-615," Rossi said. Porta-Potties Vandalized By Truck In Hunterdon County Park Police are looking for a trucker who vandalized multiple porta-potties in a Hunterdon County park on Sunday, May 26. At 11:40 p.m., a driver in a maroon Chevy pickup truck with an engine hoist in the bed struck all of the porta-potties in Heritage Park, pushing one into a playground, Bethlehem Township Mayor Paul Muir said on Facebook. All of the porta-potties will likely need to be replaced, Muir said. New Jersey State Police is investigating, Muir said and anyone who can identify the truck or the driver is asked to call 908-730-1600.
