Man, 45, Found Dead Floating In Central Jersey River Identified: State Police Troopers have identified the Edison man who was found dead in a river in East Brunswick. The body of 45-year-old Reynaldo Salcedo-Tavarez was discovered near where the Raritan and South rivers meet on Thursday, Aug. 8, a state police spokesperson said on Monday, Aug. 19. Marine troopers responded to the report of a person in the water at around 7:42 a.m. Salcedo-Tavarez's body was seen floating and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Salcedo-Tavarez's death remained under investigation and no other information was available.

Rescuers, Coast Guard Helicopter Save Two Men Stuck On Jersey Shore Jetty Two men were rescued after they were stuck at the end of a jetty in Ocean County, officials said. The men were found at the end of the south jetty at Barnegat Light State Park on Sunday, Aug. 18, Barnegat Light Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 said in a Facebook post. The fire company used two jetskis to respond, along with a helicopter from the U.S. Coast Guard station in Barnegat Light.
