Police ID Pedestrian Killed Near Freehold Raceway
A 76-year-old Manalapan man was killed after he was struck by a cargo van in Freehold on Wednesday morning, Aug. 7, authorities said. Frank Tommasini who was crossing Park Avenue at Ann Street when he was struck by a 2022 Ram ProMaster van heading west on Route 33 around 11:25 a.m., Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. Man Killed, Wife Seriously Injured When Tow Truck Hits Motorcycle In South Jersey: Police
A Plumsted Township man was killed and his wife was seriously injured when a tow truck hit their motorcycle, authorities said. Jackson Township police responded to the crash on Hawkin Road at around 3:16 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, Chief Matthew Kunz said in an email. One woman was killed and five others hospitalized in a multi-vehicle Route 9 crash overnight, authorities in Middlesex County said. Old Bridge officers responding to Route 9 and Ferry Road found a wrecked Ford Mustang with four occupants and a BMW with two occupants around 1:05 a.m. Sunday, June 2, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Two People Killed In South Jersey Crash, State Police Say
Police were investigating after two people died in a crash in Ocean County, authorities said. The "crash with fatalities" happened in Jackson Township at around 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. The wreck was near the intersection of Cleveland Court and East Veterans Highway. The state police fatal crash database said a driver and a passenger were killed. A Monmouth County man died less than a week after he was hit by a car while walking home from work, according to a fundraising campaign.
