Four Masked Gunmen Rob Man of Cash, Jewelry in Clifton Parking Lot, Police Say
A brazen armed robbery unfolded Monday night, Nov. 25, when four masked men armed with handguns ambushed a man in a Clifton parking lot, authorities said.
The 37-year-old victim was targeted around 9:22 p.m. in the lot at 1578 Main Ave., where the suspects confronted him, Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson reported.
The assailants made off with cash and jewelry before fleeing the scene in a gray SUV, last seen speeding away onto Main Avenue, police said.

19-Year-Old Linden Woman Killed In Crash: Roselle PD
A 19-year-old Linden resident was killed in a crash in Roselle on Halloween night, authorities said.
At 11:40 p.m., a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox traveling westbound, struck a curb, veered through a fence line and, continued through an open lot and came to rest in an adjoining Wawa parking lot, a spokesman for the Borough of Roselle said.
The driver, Joshua Pryor, sustained minor injuries, but his sister, Jayla, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Newark Teacher Dies Days After Being Struck By Vehicle Outside High School: Authorities
A 66-year-old Newark teacher died Saturday, Oct. 26, after being struck by a vehicle at Arts High School on Wednesday, Oct. 23, authorities said.
At 10:39 a.m., police responded to the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard on a call of two pedestrians struck, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
Police found two women, one of whom was Laura Cuevas, struck in the aftermath of a two-car crash that saw one vehicle striking a wall at Arts High School, Fragé said. Cuevas was pinned against the exterior wall of the building, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.

Two-Month-Old Dies In Elizabeth: Authorities
A two-month-old infant died in Elizabeth on Monday, Oct. 21, authorities said.
Police responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at Pingry Place, a spokeswoman for the city said. Both parents were working, and their eldest child was watching his younger siblings, including the infant, when the infant had a medical emergency, authorities said.
The infant was pronounced dead at Trinitas Hospital, authorities said.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency was notified, authorities said. No foul play was suspected and the incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
Man Killed In Fatal Jersey Fire: Prosecutor
A 56-year-old Jersey City man was killed in a fire on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 16, authorities said.
At 10 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at 121 Garfield Ave. in Jersey City, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire coming from a third floor bedroom of a three-story residential building, Suarez said.
