Mega Millions Ticket Sold In Passaic Wins $10K Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for one lottery player in Passaic County. A Mega Millions ticket sold in Woodland Park matched four numbers and the gold Megaball in the drawing held on Friday, Sept. 13, winning $10,000.  The ticket was sold at Alfaouri Mart and Gas on Squirrel Wood Road. The winning numbers were 21, 55, 56, 57, 66 and the gold Megaball was 1.

Woodland Park, Little Falls Native Justin Hoyt Dies, 26 Passaic County native Justin Hoyt died on Tuesday, Aug. 27, his obituary on the Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home website says. He was 26 years old. A Woodland Park native, Justin also lived in Little Falls but had moved to California two years ago to bettering himself and "working with those suffering from addiction, helping others on their journey," his obituary says.  Justin was remembered as a bright light who felt most comfortable in nature. Trio Found With Airsoft Gun After Pursuit-Crash In Woodland Park: Authorities Three men seen trying to break into a home were arrested following a police pursuit, Saturday, Aug. 16 in North Jersey, authorities said. At 3:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home on Forest Place, where three men with ski masks were at the back door, Fairfield police said in a release. They were seen fleeing the area in a gray Honda CRV after the caller scared them off, police said. Boil Water Advisory Issued In Parts Of Passaic County Amid Water Main Break American Water has issued a boil water advisory across parts of Passaic County. The advisory was issued Thursday, Aug. 15 at noon to American Water customers across Little Falls and Woodland Park. The advisory was the result of emergency repairs to a water main break on Notchcroft Drive in the Great Notch area of Little Falls.  Any water to used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute. Water is okay for bathing, washing, and other common uses.  Residents will be notified when the advisory is lifted, which American Water says will be around…

World Champion Judo Master, Retired Paterson Fire Captain Anthony 'Tony' Camal Dies, 63 Anthony "Tony" Camal, a world-renowned Judo master and Paterson firefighter, died on Monday, July 29, according to his obituary on the Festa Memorial website. He was 63 years old. Raised in Inwood, NY, Camal later moved to Totowa and Paterson, where he served for 15 years on the fire department before retiring as captain in 2013. He later settled in Woodland Park. Camal was the head sensei of Camal & Cruz Judo and Jiu Jitsu Academy since 1995, having been a sixth-degree black belt and world champion, according to his obituary.
