BMW Driver Who Caused Wrong-Way Route 4 Crash Found With Cocaine, Stolen Plates: Prosecutor A 24-year-old Queens, NY man is facing charges for a crash on Route 4 that left multiple people seriously injured Sunday night, Sept. 16. Emelio S. Lutchmansingh was heading east in the westbound lanes, in a 2004 BMW M3, when he struck a 2020 Jeep Compass head-on at River Road around 11:15 p.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Lutchmansingh fled the scene but was arrested nearby on foot, the prosecutor said. Meanwhile, responding officers found five occupants of the Jeep Compass, all of whom were hospitalized with various injuries, including two people with serious injuries…

Route 4 Reopens Nearly 12+ Hours After Crash Downs Wires Route 4 has reopened more than 12 hours after a crash downed a pole and live wires in Teaneck, police said. Sometime after 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, a crash took down a pole in the westbound lanes near River Road, local police said. All lanes were closed with traffic getting by in one lane on the eastbound side, police said. At 9:30 p.m., Teaneck police announced the roadway had been reopened and all repairs had been made. Details in the accident were not immediately available.
