Republicans Have Overtaken Dems In Early Voting, Poll Says: Where To Vote In Passaic County As of Friday afternoon, Oct. 25, more than 35 million people have already voted in the United States, according to the University of Florida Election Lab's early voter tracker. Five million of those voters showed up early and in person, the lab said. Just over 2 million of those voters are Republicans, and 1.5 million are Democrats, according to the lab. New Jersey hasn't had that option — until now. Jersey City Mayoral Aide Fired After Supporting Sister's Anti-Gay Political Campaign An aide to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop was fired after a show of support for his sister's political campaign known for its anti-gay rhetoric. Local political leaders, including Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and Rep. Rob Menendez, D-NJ, also called for Jonathan Gomez-Noriega's resignation from the city's LGBTQ+ task force after it was revealed he made four donations to his sister, Valentina Gomez.
