Man Arrested For Deadly Stabbing In South Jersey Alley, Police Say
A Millville man was accused of stabbing another man to death in downtown Bridgeton, authorities said. Cornell Becton, 37, was arrested on unrelated charges at around 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 14. He was also given charges in the killing of 59-year-old Wilbert Pace, which happened that morning. Two Men Threw Bottles, Pulled Knife On Three People Along South Jersey Riverfront: Police
Two Cumberland County men were accused of assaulting three people on the Bridgeton riverfront, authorities said. Geovanni Justice of Bridgeton and Christopher Perez of Vineland were arrested, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Sept. 30. Officers responded to a report of an active fight on the riverfront at around 2:17 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. Investigators said Justice and Perez threw rocks and bottoms at the three victims. South Jersey Man Kills Another Man With Broken Bottle: Police
A 29-year-old man from Bridgeton has been arrested for fatally stabbing another man with a broken bottle, authorities said. Regino Hernandez-Morales was taken into custody Monday afternoon July 29 after detectives from the Bridgeton Police Department and Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant at his home. Vineland Man Charged With Break-In At South Jersey Business: Police
A 64-year-old man was charged with breaking into a business in Bridgeton, authorities said. David Carty, of Vineland, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, according to Bridgeton police. Carty is accused of breaking into Pastelmex bakery and cafe at 694 N. Pearl St. at about 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, police said. He was being held at Cumberland County Jail.
