Fighter Jets To Fly Over MetLife Stadium For Navy Vs. Notre Dame Football Game
The fleet of fighter jets that many people heard and saw as they flew into Teterboro Airport on Friday, Oct. 25 are expected to fly over MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 26. Five F/A-18s will be up in the air over the East Rutherford stadium just before kickoff, set for noontime, local police said. Their departure time is not immediately clear (and if you take a video, email it to clevine@dailyvoice.com or DM it to @dailyvoicenewjersey on Instagram). Tufts Lacrosse Players Hospitalized After Navy SEAL Workout: NJ Docs Explain What Did It
A dozen of Tufts University's 50 lacrosse players were sidelined earlier this month with a muscle-destroying illness following a grueling workout led by a Navy SEAL, school officials said. As of press time three of the reigning NCAA Division III National Championship players remained in the hospital recovering from rhabdomyolysis, or, as it's more simply known, "rhabdo," Tufts officials said. NJ Navy Vet Who Received Pig Kidney Transplant, Heart Pump Dies After 47 Days
Lisa Pisano, the 54-year-old New Jersey resident and second-ever recipient of a pig kidney and mechanical heart, has died. Pisano received the heart pump on April 4, and eight days later, got the pig's kidney. She lived with it for 47 days, as reported by the New York Times, before her death on Sunday, July 7.
