Michael Carbone Killed By NJ Transit Train
NJ Transit officials have released the name of the motorist killed by a train earlier this week in Morris County. Michael Carbone, 77, of Pompton Plains, was struck by Montclair-Boonton Line train 1074 after he disregarded the crossing gates at the Ryerson Road crossing in Lincoln Park around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. Driver Killed By Montclair-Boonton Line Train: NJ Transit
A driver was killed after being struck by an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 28 in Morris County, authorities said. Montclair-Boonton Line train 1074 struck the vehicle at the Ryerson Road crossing in Lincoln Park just before 9:30 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. Lincoln Park Man Struck, Killed By Car In West Milford
A 73-year-old man was struck and killed by a car early Tuesday, Sept. 10 in West Milford, authorities said. Mod A. Khader, of Lincoln Park, was trying to cross Route 23 south when he was struck by a vehicle around 6 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes West Milford Police Chief James DeVore said. Khader was taken to Chilton Hospital where he died at 8:40 a.m. The vehicle that struck Khader remained at the scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
