A South Toms River pizzeria is feeling the power of the Portnoy effect after Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy's review.

Spoiler alert: It was a good one.

Portnoy stopped by Paci'Dough’s and was immediately impressed.

"That looks great… good undercarriage," he said during the review posted to YouTube on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Despite battling a cold, the pizza connoisseur powered through the review, calling the sauce "on the sweeter side," and the pie with a bit of a soupy consistency—though it didn’t taste soupy, he clarified.

"My ears are still plugged from the plane, my throat hurts, my eyes are inside out, but I think this is an 8.2 in any league," Portnoy said.

The One Bite App may have missed it, but Portnoy didn’t—and neither did pizza lovers.

Following the review, PaciDough’s, which prides itself on naturally leavened sourdough pizza, was completely sold out the next day.

"The Portnoy effect is real," the pizzeria posted on Instagram. "Thank you @stoolpresidente for helping this amazing pizzeria! @pacidoughspizzajoint love you guys! Keep crushing!"

The shop, which also claims the title of 2025’s #1 Pizza and #1 Meatball in NJ, is now on the radar of pizza lovers across the state.
