Motorcyclist Killed By Falling Tree On Route 46 A 32-year-old Hackettstown motorcyclist was killed after he was struck by a falling tree on Route 46 on Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. At 3:58 p.m., Travis Worrell was traveling westbound on a Honda motorcycle in White Township when a tree fell into the roadway and struck him, causing the motorcycle to overturn, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Worrell was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Black Bear Struck By Vehicle On Route 46: Njsp A black bear was struck by a vehicle on Route 46 in Warren County on the early morning of Thursday, Aug. 1, authorities said. At 8:09 a.m.,, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Route 46 in White Township when it collided with a black bear that entered the lane of travel, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State police said. No injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
